Why this site exists
StackSwitched started from a simple observation: small business owners keep getting burned by email marketing pricing. Mailchimp raises prices and charges for features nobody uses. Klaviyo bills for contacts who unsubscribed years ago. The big review sites rank whoever pays the most, and their "reviews" read like press releases.
We are building the review site we wished existed: written for the buyer, priced in real numbers, and honest about what we have and have not tested.
How we review
- We start from real buyer problems. Content ideas come from places like Reddit threads where business owners describe pricing pain and ask what actually works. We write for that person, not for a keyword.
- We test with real accounts. Before a review goes live, we sign up for the tool, build automations, send campaigns, and try to cancel. Screenshots come from our own accounts.
- We do the price math. Email tools price by list size, and that is where the surprises hide. We calculate real monthly cost at 1,000, 10,000, and 100,000 contacts.
- We mark what we have not tested. Anything unverified is labeled TODO in public. You will never see a star rating on a tool we have not finished testing.
How we make money
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That is the business model, stated plainly. Commissions never decide rankings: tools are scored on testing, and the disclosure sits near the top of every page that has affiliate links. Read the full affiliate disclosure.
Where we are now
TODO: Update this section as the site grows. Current status: scaffold built, testing in progress, no reviews published yet.
This site is new. The content plan is set and hands-on testing is underway. Reviews publish as testing completes, not before.
